Thermoforming, product development, construction of prototypes and production tools.

NELIPAK is a market-oriented company specialising in the design and production of tailor-made thermoformed packaging for medical devices, also in small series. The constant development of new products and the design and manufacture of tools under the companies own management fits in with this aim. We make use of Unigraphics NX3 CAD/CAM/CAE software, while also utilising a large and excellently equipped model making and tool shop
.
Clean rooms for thermoforming, packaging and the printing of lidding material.
Most packaging for medical and electronic products is produced in clean rooms. The actual packing of these products also usually takes place in clean rooms. Nelipak makes use of conditioned spaces class 7 (10.000) for thermoforming and packing in Venray (NL) and Galway (IRL). Lidding material for medical packaging (Tyvek, medical paper) is also printed in cleanrooms.

Nelipak's design expertise and in house tool shop.
Nelipak has a total staff of 460 people (390 FTE); 45 of them work in the design and tool-making department. We can take care of your total packaging concept and come up with a state of the art design and prototype. Nelipak is using 20 Unigraphics design stations and 8 high-speed milling machines to speed up the design process. For you this means a short time to market process for a complete packaging solution.

Design and construction of sealing machines.
Nelipak designs and builds, to customer specification, a wide and varying range of sealing machines, up to a maximum sealing area of 800 x 600 mm.

Sealed Air
In January 2006 Nelipak has been acquired by Sealed Air, a leading manufacturer of materials and systems for protective, presentation and food packaging in the industrial and consumer markets.
In August 2007, Sealed Air corporation acquired Alga Plastics in the United States. Alga Plastics is a highly regarded thermoforming company in Cranston, Rhode Island, that operates in the same markets as Nelipak.

Nelipak and Alga Plastics operate from five locations, of which three are situated in the Netherlands, one in the United States and one in Ireland. Nelipak and Alga Plastics have sales offices in the Netherlands, the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom and China.

Nuova Ompi is the first glass-tubing converter in Italy and among the top- leaders in its market.

The company, with its sister companies of the Glass Division Alfamatic (located near Rome) and Medical Glass (located in Bratislava) produces with its team of 950 employees more than more than 1.7 billion glass containers  per year for pharmaceutical use, generating sales of approximately 125 million Euro, designating 70% for export. The standard production from neutral glass tubing includes, syringes with and without needle, screw neck, pilfer-proof, blow back and pill vials, dental cartridges and pen cartridges and ampoules.
 
Nuova Ompi supplies syringes EZ fill clean, sterile and ready to fill. Next step will be supplying all the types of glasstubing containers already sterile to the pharma industries simplifying, in that way, PharmCo processing and shortening PharmCo development and commercialization timelines.
 
Recently the company has purchased an area  of 50 000 m2 in Mexico, near Monterrey. In that location in 2007 started the construction of a new building of 6.500 m2 that will be enlarged, starting from 2011, reaching 11.500 m2 with an huge investment of 37 million Euro. The new production site will have a total output of 370 million cartridges and 160 million vials thanks to its 26 production lines and its team of 240 employees.
