Abstract

PackAgent solution is intended to help businesses improve asset visibility and help ensure product safety and integrity in the supply chain and inventory operations. Today’s companies not only need to know where their assets are; they also need to be able to access this data in real-time in order to deliver seamless, efficient, and secure business transactions such as real time product verification and logistics tracking and tracing.  This provides businesses with an unprecedented real-time view of their assets and inventories anywhere, thereby enabling significant gains to operational efficiencies and brand protection efforts. PackAgent supplies benefits beyond operational efficiencies by enabling safe and secure supply chains with applications that address counterfeiting, tampering, diversion and brand violations among others.

Europe’s largest pharmaceutical RFID tracking and authentication project with Orion Pharma was based on PackAgent solution. Up to 11 different locations including manufacturer, two wholesalers and 7 pharmacies were able to track and trace RFID enabled products in less than 3 weeks from first installations. PackAgent has been tested and used in real production environments with successful track record of providing cost efficient RFID based tracking and authentication solution for pharmaceutical industry.
