Abstract Keeping track of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical product outside of the controlled pharmacy department is difficult to do. The implications of this reality often result in the disposal of viable product or potentially the use of a product that hasn't been maintained within a desired temperature range. This presentation covers the practical problems faced when transporting temperature sensitive product and offers and insight into the technology that may present part of the monitoring solution. This will not major on a single product solution, as the intent is to provide delegates with an opportunity to engage in wider discussions relating to communication between clinical and pharmacy staff based on evidence rather than interpretation. |
