MG is an innovative manufacturer of Primary Packaging Materials, Primary Packaging Material Systems and Injection Systems made of tubular glass for the Pharmaceutical Industry.

In addition to all types of containers made of glass tubes (syringes, vials, ampoules), MG focuses on cutting-edge technologies, e.g. on components for injection systems (cartridges with inner bypass, innovative needles) and the respective processes (e.g. laser technologies) and holds various patents. One of them is the V Bevel Needle® (MG), an important development of recent years. The in-house Optoelectronics Department develops highly sophisticated vision systems especially for all online manufacturing processes at MG.

Prompted by its objective to develop into a specialist supplier of Primary Packaging Materials made of tubular glass for Pharmcos, MGlas initiated the ISO GMP Standard ISO 15378. In July 2006, MGlas was the first company in its industry to be certified according to ISO 15378, valid since March 2006.

In early 2009, MG STERILE PRODUCTS AG (MGS), a partner company of MGlas AG, introduced its new pre-sterilized product line D2F® - Direct To Fill, which will cover a wide range of customer requirements. Initially, MGS offers pre-sterilized syringes in sizes of 0.5 ml to 3.0 ml. Later-on, the D2F® product range will be expanded to include vials and cartridges.
