Biography Paul Erik Fabricius is Senior Design Manager at Bang & Olufsen Medicom, being responsible for the design strategy and the creative and strategic processes in business- and product development. He has many years of experience in the medical device industry, and has a B.Sc. E.E. in Mechatronics. Prior occupation includes Patent Advisor at Hofman-Bang & Boutard A/S and Research Engineer at Radiometer Medical A/S. Abstract Injections are something most people will do a lot to avoid. It is a real scary thing to imagine, until you gets used to it. It is therefore a very interesting challenge to design a drug delivery device for self injection, which people can use very easily in their private homes. Is it possible to create a new auto injector device that can make self injection less scary and easier? … and thereby increase compliance in treatments with self injections? The innovation process at Bang & Olufsen Medicom has been used to attack this challenge, creating a new opportunity in the arena of auto injectors. |
